As Program Manager of the Mariposa Family Resource Center, you’ll lead culturally responsive, non-stigmatizing programs that strengthen individuals, families, and entire communities, especially those who are underserved or unserved. About the Role The Program Manager provides leadership and hands-on oversight of the Mariposa Family Resource Center, an MHSA-funded Early Intervention program. You’ll design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based, community-driven services that promote mental health, resilience, prevention, and early identification of mental health needs across all ages. You’ll ensure full compliance with MHSA and County requirements while going above and beyond to create inclusive, welcoming, relationship-centered services. This role blends leadership, direct service, supervision, community engagement, and collaboration with County partners. What You’ll Do Program Leadership & Development · Design and lead MHSA Early Intervention programs rooted in community needs · Expand inclusive, preventative services for children, youth, families, caregivers, adults, and seniors · Implement evidence-based practices such as Strengths Perspective Case Management and Nurturing Parenting · Create non-stigmatizing programming beyond crisis or court-mandated services · Coordinate outreach and services in apartment complexes and community settings · Lead clothing & footwear drives and community Frock Swap events that promote dignity and connection Team Leadership & Supervision · Supervise program staff, interns, and volunteers · Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback · Foster a collaborative, trauma-informed, strengths-based team culture Direct Services & Community Engagement · Participate directly in outreach, case management, and community events · Support early identification of mental health concerns and linkages to County services · Facilitate groups, workshops, and wellness activities such as: · Parenting and caregiver support · LGBTQ friends and family groups · Grief and loss support · Disaster-related support · Family enrichment events, movie nights, walking groups, and cooking classes Community & County Collaboration · Serve as the primary liaison with County MHSA staff · Build strong partnerships with schools, housing providers, and local organizations · Participate in County stakeholder meetings and cross-system planning Administration, Data & Compliance · Oversee MHSA data collection, reporting, and quality assurance · Ensure timely submission of monthly and annual County reports · Maintain program budgets, documentation, and compliance with MHSA and state regulations Benefits & Perks · Agency-sponsored health benefit stipend (medical, dental, vision) · Retirement plan · Generous paid time off · Ongoing training and professional development · Supportive, mission-driven work environment Requirements: Qualifications Education & Experience · High School Diploma or GED (required) · Associate’s Degree (required); Bachelor’s preferred · 3–5 years in community-based or family support programs · 2–4 years of supervisory experience · Experience in rural or underserved communities preferred Certifications (required or obtainable) · Mandated Reporter · Mental Health First Aid · CPR/First Aid · Group Facilitation · Grief Education Skills We’re Looking For · Strong leadership and organizational skills · Knowledge of mental health early intervention and prevention · Ability to work within culturally responsive, recovery-oriented frameworks · Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills · Comfort with data tracking and reporting systems Work Requirements · In-person position: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM · Regular travel throughout Mariposa County · Occasional out-of-county travel for meetings, conferences, and training · Some evenings or weekends for events
