What You’ll Do As a Direct Support Professional, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, meaningful lives. You will help promote independence, safety, well-being, and personal growth while serving as a strong advocate for each client. Essential Responsibilities Follow and implement daily routines as outlined in each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) Assist with the development and achievement of IPP/ISP goals Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment Support social, recreational, and community activities Assist with personal care (grooming, toileting, dressing, hygiene) Prepare meals and assist with clean-up Transport clients using company vans as needed Report incidents and communicate with administrators Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of personal or professional caregiving experience Preferred: experience with developmental disabilities or mental health needs DSP Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 CPI Preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months First Aid/CPR Preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days Must be at least 21 years old Valid California Driver’s License Must pass all pre-employment screenings Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Remote Work: No — this is an on-site position.
