Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical
experience. 14 years of experience leading negotiations or business
development. 10 years of experience leading power generation
negotiations, power generation programs or power generation
projects. 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with a
focus on generation investments or planning. Experience
originating, building, and maintaining external partner
relationships and structuring partnerships agreements to execute on
infrastructure development and operations. Experience in people
management. Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree.
Experience developing and executing on strategies in a large,
global organization and managing complex, cross-functional
projects. Experience in investment finance with a focus on
large-scale power systems infrastructure. Deep knowledge of power
systems, carbon free energy generation technologies, renewable
energy grid integration, least-cost generation planning, supply
chain, and energy finance and a demonstrated ability to build
executive-level relationships. Excellent communication and
influencing skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and
communication skills. About the job Google's infrastructure needs
go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services
scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the
scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future everything from
underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic
Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given
sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective
solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work
with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor
and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to
our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the
potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and
impact every part of the business. As a Manager for Data Center
Power Generation Solutions, you will be responsible for developing
innovative generation solutions to support growth of Google's data
center fleet, integrating them within Google's operations, and
mitigating associated risks. You will be responsible for
originating, structuring and negotiating agreements with solution
providers and equipment manufacturers, expanding power supply
options in power-constrained territories. You will be part of deal
teams negotiating site-specific power contracts based on innovative
generation solutions. You will be a key contributor to thought
leadership in power capacity procurement and engage with internal
and external stakeholders to ensure that the solutions proposed are
technically, socially and environmentally sound, supporting
Google's commitment to build and deploy AI responsibly. The US base
salary range for this full-time position is $222,000-$309,000 bonus
equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,
and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
work location and additional factors, including job-related skills,

power generation solutions to meet Google's data center needs,
balancing speed-to-market, carbon-free goals, availability, and
cost efficiency. Lead the origination and negotiation of power
agreements and partnerships with IPPs, developers, and utilities to
unlock capacity in power-constrained regions. Partner with internal
teams (Site Acquisition, Energy Structuring, Engineering, Finance,
and Legal) to define technical requirements and ensure successful
implementation of energy projects. Manage commercial pathways for
long-lead equipment procurement and collaborate with EHS and Public
Affairs to mitigate social and environmental risks. Analyze energy
industry trends to identify new opportunities and represent
Google’s interests in external forums and with key industry
stakeholders.
