Job Description:
Estimator/Sales (Asphalt and Concrete Paving/Restoration)GPAC is
seeking an Estimator/Sales candidate who is competent and familiar
with the asphalt and concrete construction realm. This position is
a full-time, direct-hire role for a key client who is well known
and respected in the Bay Area of CA. Client offers Health, Vision,
Dental benefits as well as a vehicle and fuel card. Client also
offers generous commission structures in addition to base salary
and generous 401k matching program.The Estimator helps lead the
company's sales and estimating functions by building lasting
relationships with new and existing customers by taking ownership
of each stage of the planning and implementation of every
project.-- Successful Estimators will engage with clients, develop
the appropriate scope of work to meet their needs, and manage the
project from start to finish to ensure the highest quality final
product.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Target potential clients and develop relationships to acquire
new revenue-generating opportunities
- Assess and measure potential jobs to determine key variables
for price, planning, and development of proposed bids.
- Work effectively with accounting, production, and management to
provide the highest quality product and level of service.
- Partner extensively with Production to achieve the highest
level of profitability and customer satisfaction
- Engage with clients and gather first-hand--information via site
visits
- Conduct research--to obtain data on labor costs, materials,
transport, equipment, production times etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or
vendors
- Build relationships with key contractors and vendors
(subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Attend and engage with potential vendors or clients at relevant
marketing events.
- Other duties as assigned
- Identify, generate, and distribute change orders and submittals
as neededSkills and Qualifications:
- The ability to work under pressure to meet goals, budgets, and
deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite
- Project management experience in paving and concrete
installation
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients,
subcontractors, and vendors.Compensation
- This position will be compensated with a base salary that is
dependent on the candidate's experience level
- 2 weeks paid vacation
