Do you have technical experience in the field of Human Resources,
and a passion for growth in the HR field? Valley Water is seeking a
detail-oriented Human Resources Technician I/II (HR Tech) to become
a vital part of our Total Rewards & Data Analytics Unit within the
Human Resources Division.
In this role, you will focus on HR Information System (HRIS)
responsibilities, which include analyzing, calculating, processing,
and entering payroll transactions. You'll ensure timely and
accurate data entry for bi-weekly payroll, new hires, separations,
and retirements, while collaborating closely with our Benefits and
Payroll teams to support a smooth employee experience. This
position also offers an exciting opportunity to provide direct
customer service, responding to inquiries from employees, managers,
and other stakeholders across Valley Water.

Ideal Experience:
HR Tech I: One (1) year of increasingly responsible technical and
administrative human resources support pertinent to the assignment
involving the use of databases/HRIS.
HR Tech II
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by
college level course work in human resources, business
administration, or a related field. Bachelors degree is
desirable.
Required License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid
California driver's license. Individuals who do not meet the
driver's license requirement due to a disability will be considered

Total Rewards & Data Analytics Unit (Position Code 1018)Valley
Water Telework Program: Eligibility for telework will depend on the
type of work performed, operational needs, and the ability for the
employee to perform the essential functions of their job duties
while teleworking. Employment with Valley Water requires employees
to live within 150 miles of their primary physical work location
located in San Jose, California by their start date.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, typically
working 40% remote and 60% onsite, after completion of the
probationary period (one year).
