JOB SUMMARY

Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under close supervision assists in supervising building system operations and performance. Uses several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety
• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes's maintenance and repair records as required
• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair-orders essential materials and supplies to finish the tasks
• Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems
• Assists with solving and repairing buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC
• Inspects new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws
• Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleans fixtures, and replaces bulbs and lamps
• Maintains the grounds of a facility or property, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, or snow removal
• Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed
• Respond quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as needed.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  
  
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
    
    OTHER SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES
    
    
    • Uses personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training-basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

      Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
      
      California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $80,000 annually, and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $94,993 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
