Overall responsibilities encompass facilitating all areas of development and production support for the government contracts and other lines of business as assigned. Organizes and sometimes facilitates meetings with business users, subject matter experts and Information Services and Technology staff to identify and document business needs and objectives, relevant operational procedures and problems, input and output requirements, data needs and retention, usage, formatting, and security requirements. -

Primary Responsibilities: -

• 
  
• Works closely with Senior BSA, Programmer Analysts and users across various in-house and vendor hosted platforms to support documentation tasks for recommended information system strategies; has some understanding of organizational and human impacts of planned systems and participates in ensuring that new technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processes
  
• Participates in the evaluation of the impact of software changes, including implementation or revision of system processes and technology. Participates in documentation of project vision, scope, and objectives
  
• Works in an unstructured, collaborative environment and supports completion of formal, written business and functional requirements
  
• Understands and applies the approved IS/IT methodology and SDLC
  
• Participates in and/or develops formal functional and technical software requirements and use case documentation that describes user needs; participates in ensuring a smooth and complete turnover of business requirements and project information to the software development team
  
• Participates in the development and documentation of technical process workflows/diagrams/designs/logical data models by employing business requirements and analysis
  
• Interacts with software developers during development, providing documentation such as use cases, flowcharts, data flow diagrams or database designs
  
• Participates in requirements validation and traceability analysis
  
• Participates in application development requirements reviews and project design reviews
  
• Leads or participates in test coordination, troubleshooting, and issue resolution with new/updated software functionality
  
• Assists in performing software unit and/or system testing
  
• Provides real-time application support to production issues, either resolving or escalating them promptly to minimize the impact on the day-to-day operation activities
  
• Works with business training area in conducting effective user training
  
• Works with IT/QA testing in coordination of acceptance tests with user groups for any rollout of major enhancements or projects

  • 
    
  • 3+ years of business analyst experience
    
  • Experience with business process definition, systems implementation, and support
    
  • Advanced experience with documentation tools such as MS Word, Visio, Excel
    
  • Experience with Third Party Administrators (TPA)
    
  • Experience participating in SDLC, AGILE, JAD and Data/Process Modeling sessions
    
  • Understand and/or write basic SQL and XML
    
  • Knowledge of EDI X12, HIPAA 5010 and clearinghouse concepts and functionality
    
  • Basic understanding of healthcare benefits and claims processes

    • Experience with Claims Exchange, QicLink, Vendor Integrations and Client Implementations
