Role Description

As a People Data Analyst- Workday Reporting at eBay, you'll deliver reporting data and analytical insights to a broad range of partners. You'll work closely with various People Partners and team members across the business to effectively distill ad hoc requests, ask appropriate questions to understand hypotheses and respond to requests with logical, organized, data & insights in a timely manner. You're curious and inquisitive, have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, thrive managing multiple time-sensitive requests, and enjoy working with partners to empower them with data and insights.

Responsibilities

* Respond to (or triage) any and all requests related to people data with minimal guidance or oversight.
* Develop and maintain simple to complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite, BIRT) utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer, as well as other organizational tools and available technologies
* Handle ad hoc reporting and analytics requests, while addressing organizational needs and driving insights for People Partners using existing dashboards, HRIS data, and leveraging our people data ecosystem (Tableau, Visier, Workday, etc.).
* Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs and applying contextual knowledge in order to scope data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of the People Analytics team.

Qualifications:

* 3-5 years of experience in people analytics with 1-2 years of experience in workday reporting
* BA/BS in a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (e.g., computer science, social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, or statistics),
* Advanced Workday report writing experience, both in modifying delivered and creating custom reports. Proficiency with calculated fields, composite reports, matrix reports, dashboards, etc
* Familiar with Visier and Tableau. Experience with SQL a plus.
* Excel experience including creating pivot reports, conditional formulas and formatting, VLOOKUPs, and charts/graphs partnered with analytical and problem solving experience
* Experience working with HR/organizational people data (headcount, retention, recruiting, diversity, etc.)
* Very flexible, ability to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
* Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
* Experience having effective conversations with clients about their support needs and requirements, manage the intake process, and ask the right questions to scope and solve the requests
* Great attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality/rigor in analysis & deliverables

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$92,500 - $163,100

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$106,800 - $162,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
