SAP Costing Solution Architect
Responsibilities:
We are looking for the right candidate to focus on Managerial
Accounting/Costing Financial Applications at Micron, you will be
responsible for both implementing new systems and supporting
existing systems for global core organizational functions for your
domain! You will use the following standardized release procedures:
coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and
scheduling in a manner consistent with department standards when
applicable. You will also help align the capabilities of the
company's software and design requirements based on business
needs.
SAP Solution Architect with a specialty in Managerial Accounting
and Product Costing.
Gather and formalize business requirements.
Identify partners impacted by change. Collaborate with partners to
identify business requirements, vetting against the scope of the
initiative.
Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by
the business process or change and receive sign off from the
partners.
Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects,
Software Engineers, etc.) to resolve the best IT solution for
identified business problem.
Collaborate with implementation team to develop estimates of effort
for proposed system changes. Document (business rules, as is/to be
flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional
specs, and testing forms).
Facilitate collaboration between affected groups to gain acceptance
of the process changes and complete by the due dates.
Configure applicable system changes. Analyze existing system
functionality and business processes in the scope of the business
need and design cost-effective solutions that will efficiently
function to support the customer requirements.
Validate configuration changes meet the customers' requirements
without negatively impacting existing functionality.
Identify and/or enter data needed in the development and test
environments to validate configuration changes. Document system
configuration changes.
Perform the role of Release Manager/Champion as needed.
Conduct research on software functionality and changes (User
groups, Product Support Documentation/OSS, etc.).
Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full
end-to-end business process will function and meet business
requirements within the project scope.
Champion system testing. Build, communicate, and coordinate test
plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance,
regression, security, etc.). Perform the role of Tester or Test
Manager as needed.
Lead Issue Analysis to confirm defects.
Deliver training and mentoring. Work with the IT and/or Business
Training Team representative to create training materials (QRCs,
procedures, manuals, recordings, instructor-led training, training
plans, etc.) to facilitate the end users' application of skills and
knowledge in the workplace. Train customers, support teams, and the
business on system changes, new functionality, new process,
etc.
Collaborate with the implementation team to provide early life
support for the initiative, taking ownership for transitioning all
appropriate information to teams responsible for long term system
health and supportability.
Support service management.
Collaborate with Operations Managers to define and document
Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed (RACI).
Champion system support documentation quality.
Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business
processes and operational procedures. Participate in the service
assessment by creating metric catalog entries, reviewing data
compliance, and defining standards. Analyze reports to define and
resolve risks.
Assist the Project Coordinator with the project plan, as needed,
including providing hours estimates for the work required.
Assist in the creation of a Communication Plan and a Risk
Management Plan. Provide process background information and history
to the project coordinator.
Call out risks and issues and assist with issue resolution
management. Participate in lessons learned. Provide customer
support.
Fix customer issues on products supported within the business
domain. Provide mentorship for the support teams by crafting
knowledge articles, process and procedure documentation, and
training materials. Participate in the on-call support rotation, as
needed, and provide critical issue support.
Required Qualification:
SAP Solution Architect with a specialty in Managerial Accounting
and Product Costing.
Minimum 10 years of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) hands on
experience designing and supporting.
Strong Managerial Accounting experience emphasizing Strong Product
Costing experience with Make to Order and Make to Stock
Processes.
Strong Finance experience including New General Ledger, Accounts
Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banks (including
integration), Taxes and Treasury.
Extensive Controlling experience including Cost Centers, Internal
Orders, Product Costing, Project Costing, Profitability Analysis
(Account based COPA and Costing based COPA) and Profit Centers
Extensive experience with FI/CO integration with other process
modules, including Project System (PS), Production Planning (PP),
Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM).
Minimum 4 years of Solution Architect experiences in IT Finance
area
Established leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment,
problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Experience in leading and developing people in successful teams
Nice to haves:
S/4 HANA and Central Finance experience.
Master's degree.
Knowledge of Concur and Blackline preferred
Experience in ABAP and debugging is an advantage

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could
pay for this full-time position is:
$120,000.00 - $261,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The
range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and
maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US
locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work
location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge,
skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The
pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your

compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and
equity.
