Job Description:
Under direct supervision the Information Systems Technician is
responsible for all day-to-day operations of servers, workstations,
peripheral devices, telecommunication, and data communication
equipment, to include planning, developing, installing,
configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network,
hardware, and communication connectivity and operation. This role
also analyzes and resolves end-user issues timely and accurately
provides end-user training and support where required. Maintains
confidentiality of all privileged information.Minimum
Qualifications--- Bachelor's Degree in a computer related field
desirable and minimum of four (4) years of increasingly responsible
experience in network design and management, or combination of
education and experience.--- Preference will be given to Qualified
Native American Indians.The Washoe Tribe of Nevada & California
requires a background check of each new hire for employment

valid driver's license for either Nevada or California within 30

policyEssential Duties & Responsibilities--- Designs, implements,
tests, documents in all areas pertaining to operating systems,
databases, networks, servers, and software applications.---
Analyzes system or application usage and planning for growth or
increases in network capacity.--- Conducts research, provides
recommendations on emerging products, services, protocols, and
software.--- Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers,
and contractors to secure software, hardware, or services.---
Performs network audits.--- Prepares and delivers daily, weekly,
and monthly status reports to supervisor.--- Possesses ability to
be committed to superior customer service, able to prioritize and
execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.---
Performs other duties as required.Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and
Certifications--- Knowledge of modern office practices, methods,
procedures, and automated systems.--- Knowledge of the following:
Microsoft Windows Servers environments, protocols, including
installation, implementation, administration, support of Active
Directory, and Group Policy Objects. Windows desktop client
operating systems, open systems databases such as Microsoft
Structured Query Language, Sybase Structured Query Language, and
Microsoft Access.--- Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol
suite to include implementation, support of Transmission Control
Protocol networks (Wide Area Network and Local Area Network), and
client/server applications.--- Knowledge of telecommunications;
Local Area Network/Wide Area Network administration, Microsoft
Windows, and Microsoft Office.--- Knowledge of and experience with
telecommunications, Local Area Network/Wide Area Network
administration; Microsoft Office, Domain Naming System Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol, and other common network protocols
utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol in a
Windows Active Directory infrastructure.--- Knowledge of
supervising vendors and contractors engaged in developing and
implementing systems and networks, supporting users on production
systems and networks, working directly with users and other as
needed.--- Ability to communicate technical information effectively
and to perform tasks as directed by management.--- Skill in oral
and written communication.Physical DemandsWhile performing the
duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use
hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk,
and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee
occasionally is required to stand; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and
crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50
pounds.Work EnvironmentWork is generally performed in an office
