Great that you're thinking about a career with BSI!About the role:BSI's Consulting Services Division in the Northern California San Francisco Bay Area area is looking for experienced EHS Professionals with 3-7 years of experience in EHS consulting and/or corporate EHS program management who are highly motivated by the cultivation of long-term and mutually rewarding relationships with clients, coworkers, and partners. -The primary focus is on minimizing hazards, preventing injury and illness, and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.The position will be responsible for leading training, maintaining metrics, reporting, and incident response.Successful candidates are expected to have knowledge and hands-on experience with health and safety regulations, developing procedures, training, and auditing in a GxP environment. EHS Associate Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead on EH&S projects and programs in support of continuous improvement of occupational health and safety. - Contribute to proactively identifying opportunities for new projects and programs.
  • Proactively manage regulatory compliance to all applicable internal and external standards. - - Identify, advise, and educate on opportunities to implement solutions toward guidelines and industry best practices. -
  • Conduct all relevant reporting and recording activities in addition to maintaining site metrics and tracking performance toward stated goals
  • Conduct incident investigations and contribute toward identifying and implementing root cause countermeasures
  • Perform job safety analysis to proactively identify potential hazards and implement countermeasures
  • Develop content and lead safety training for employees, contractors and visitors. - Identify and implement technology solutions for training where possible
  • Lead elements of incident and emergency response in partnership with incident commander. - -Define responsibilities and lead training of emergency response teams on duties
  • Conduct training and lead emergency drills for corporate office. - Create new training content on programs focused on active shooter, earthquake preparedness and other scenarios
  • Conduct internal safety and compliance audits. -Develop new audit criteria aligned with policies and standards
  • Manage external vendors in support of projects and programs such as CPR training, ergonomic assessments, and first aid
  • Display a strong work ethic, trust, integrity and accountability

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar field
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience in EH&S role
    • Ability to foster an environment that supports reporting of all health and safety concerns and a collaborative approach toward resolution
    • Ability to analyze risk and gain stakeholder support of risk reduction actions through education, use of objective data and other methods
    • Experience managing and supporting projects focused on environmental health and safety
    • Strong interpersonal, -analytical -and problem-solving -skills. Excellent -written and verbal communication skills
