the marketplace analytics team, you will be responsible for
providing deep analytical insights into the advertising marketplace
and drive cross-team issue resolution as it relates to demand,
supply, product releases and revenue anomalies.
- In this position, you will:
- Proactively identify revenue impacting issues, and investigate
root causes, and drive them to resolution across product and
engineering teams.
- Be hands-on with monitoring tools, work with large data sets,
and provide insights into marketplace performance, be it supply or
demand. This includes writing queries to access data, performing
analysis, utilizing your technical expertise as well as a variety
of internal tools and/or collaborating with other teams as
needed.
- Gather and interpret data; generate, track and monitor business
KPIs and conduct regular readouts to stakeholders including
leadership
- Effectively communicate insights and make recommendations and
decisions in line with business objectives
- Project manage the end to end process to triage and resolve
revenue anomalies; this includes leading investigation efforts to
identify root causes which may include changes in demand, supply,
product releases and/or system related issues
- Be the subject matter expert of the ads marketplace and
participate in knowledge creation and sharing across the team
- Become an expert at using a variety of internal data systems
and assist with automating and scripting repetitive tasks where
needed Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience
- BS/MS in highly-quantitative field (Analytics, Computer
Science, Mathematics, EE) is preferred
- B2B or advertising experience is highly desirable
- Answer complex business questions via SQL queries to enable
business and product owners to make critical decisions.
- Hands on experience with Big data technologies like Spark or
Hive and understanding of HDFS
- Experience with scripting programming languages such as
Python/R
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and experience with
Shell scripting
- Experience with Tableau and/or Looker
- Demonstrated use of analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to
drive decisions
- Team player in driving growth results combined with a positive
attitude
- Problem solver who never stops thinking about ways to improve
