Regular (US only) Full time San Jose, CA Job Description Mott MacDonald is seeking a Project manager to support our client in San Jose, CA. The Project manager will lead transit signal priority related projects with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Acts as an extension of the client staff and will be the project manager on efforts to deploy and implement transit signal priority projects
• Leads studies and prepares reports and correspondence on traffic control issues for presentation to the client's advisory committees, standing committees, and board of directors
• Provides advice and technical traffic engineering assistance to client management and staff, commissions and committees, and the public on traffic and transportation matters to deliver TSP projects
• Coordinates, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work and performance assigned to the client's consultants and staff in the delivery of projects
• Confers with a variety of public and private officials on traffic engineering issues and may assist client program staff as the client's representative to other government agencies
• Develops traffic administration policies and procedures for the program
• Assists in the preparation of budgets for capital improvement projects
• Ensures the client's compliance with applicable ordinances, codes and laws, reviews traffic operating conditions in the field
• Applies for and administers traffic or transportation grant funds for studies and construction projects
• Monitors developments in the traffic control field and recommends and implements policy and procedure improvements Candidate Specification We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience with traffic signal systems and intelligent transportation systems, including construction and deployment of these systems
  • 3+ years' experience leading and delivering planning or engineering projects or tasks within a project
