Job Description:
This Sales Business Development Manager position is for an AMER
Distribution Strategy and Planning Team member passionate about
security and leading security opportunities with MSPs through
distribution across AMER.
You will join a highly diverse team, establishing and integrating
security strategies and sales growth initiatives for the
partner-managed services route to market through our distribution
partners with a high focus on Cisco's small, mid-market, and
commercial segments.
This role provides an excellent chance to create a successful brand
within Cisco to open up future career opportunities in Sales and
Partner Organizations.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for crafting the go-to-market strategy and planning
for security sales acceleration through distribution and 2T managed
service partners
- Focus on hunting/takeout/takeover sales motions with
distributors and 2T MSPs
- Recruit/onboard competitive MSSPs and high SAM/low share
security firms from target lists
- Responsible for security service creation with 2T MSPs and
distributors
- Align MSP security strategy and plans with vital team members
in AMER and Global.
- Use business intelligence to analyze market trends and the
competitive landscape and identify high-potential managed security
partners.
- Effectively communicate and advise distributors, customers, and
leadership teams on growth opportunities, results, and initiatives.
Who You Are
- You have direct experience working for or with managed services
organizations. You understand the core tools that run these
businesses and the process required to bring new services to
market.
- You've seen successful - and not so successful - services, and
you have a good sense from this experience of how to build
successful new ones. You also understand the target customer
audience of small businesses - how they approach technology
decisions, what they expect from a user experience, the personas of
decision-makers within these businesses, and how to influence
them.
- You are self-motivated and determined to drive impactful
results, have commercial sales experience in distribution or
channel operations, and experience building sales and business
growth strategies and plans for short-, mid-, and long-term
opportunities. Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of
5+ years of sales experience is required.
- 3+ years experience in developing sales strategies, account
plans, and/or go-to-market initiatives
- 3+ years of experience in IT channel, managed services, service
creation, business development, technical sales, or product
management Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with network security and SaaS security is
preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple
customers and cross-functional teams, including sales and business
development, product management, marketing, legal, and
executives
- Excellent presentation creation and delivery abilities in
addition to more broad sales enablement development experience Why
