you will be the overall post silicon execution lead for ourAECG
ASIC productdevelopment from initial customer engagementthroughmass
production.As thePost Silicon Lead,youwill provide cross functional
leadership for scoping of the effort, engineeringandproduction
rampto ensure schedule, cost and qualityobjectivesare met to
fulfill theEngineering,Businessand Customerrequirements.THE
PERSON:While this is indeed a technical role, it's also a strategic
role - you will be empowered to drive methodology enhancements to
continue AMD's trajectory toward higher levels of capability and
quality. It's also a global leadership role where you will draw on
your prior track record of leading high-performing product and test
engineering teams.This role will require a widebreadthto span
power/performance attainment, product engineering & quality.KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead product and test engineering scoping efforts during
initial customer acquisition phase of the project
- Matrix management ofproduct and test engineering functions
- Responsible toAECG ASICEngineering and Business leadership and
report out regularly onplan,status,criticaldecisions and
customerissues.
- Accountable for deliveringproductsaligned to
specificationacross various design and development teams.
- MakefinalPPA (Power, Performance, Area) bounding
boxrecommendations and drive executionto ensure
attainment.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven number of years of relevant working experience in new
product development from a product/test engineering and/or program
management discipline
- Experience in a leadership roleas adriving multi-site and
multi-disciplinedSOCengineering programs
- Strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process
(preferably ASIC), from concept to tape-out to
productionrequired.
- Ability todevelop a post silicon NPI plan,structure and execute
complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary
findings/recommendations to senior management and customers.
- Strong analytical,problem-solvingand debugskills
- Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective
decision-making across multiple functions and levels within
theorganization.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work
streams to tightdeadlines.
- Exceptional executive and client management verbalandwritten
communication and program management skills
- Outstandingpeople management skills to lead, motivate, and
guide world class engineers.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or master's degree inin Electrical Engineering or Computer
Science. LOCATION:San Jose, California (preferred)Austin,
