Actalent is hiring a fully remote Software Engineer for an Aerospace company located in California (no travel required). Description: + Company builds satellites and space systems for a wide variety of government and commercial customers. Its products include high-powered direct-to-home broadcast satellites, commercial weather satellites, digital audio radio satellites, Earth observation satellites and spot-beam satellites for data networking applications. + Actalent is hiring a Senior Software Engineer that will support PPE (Power & Propulsion Element) - a NASA project for a planned solar electric ion propulsion module, a major component of the Lunar Gateway. The PPE will allow access to the entire lunar surface and a wide range of lunar orbits and double as a space tug for visiting craft. + This individual will be responsible for real-time embedded software development in C++ and will need to have broad knowledge of networking protocols, particularly TTE (time-triggered ethernet). Qualifications: + 8+ years of embedded, real-time software development experience + Strong C++ expertise + Embedded RTOS experience (VxWorks, Green Hills, RTLinux) + Strong network programming experience is a MUST, TTE (time-triggered ethernet) is strongly preferred Preferred Skills: + Embedded C/C++ + Aerospace flight software a big plus + NASA cFS (Core Flight System) framework is a big plus + VxWorks - RTOS over bare metal + ARM (Advanced RISC Machine, as opposed to Intel x86) a big plus + Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC is a big plus About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
