Microservices platform team is developing best of breed container orchestration platform with Kubernetes and many more CNCF projects that will be instrumental in building the data centers of the future. We are looking for the very best in Test Engineering that can ensure that the products delivered are of excellent quality. Our Team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, and test case development to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the wide knowledge of the product portfolio and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability baselines.Your roleDeveloping and executing manual and automated tests to find bugs, and ensuring that automated tests are run regularly to catch regressionsWorking closely with development engineers to analyze and find root cause of failures.Filing bugs and tracking them to closure.Work directly on Kubernetes, Docker, virtual machinesWhat You'll BringMinimum of 6 years of Testing experience in a Data center product/cloud companyBE or MS in Computer Science or related field.Qualify microservices for cloud native workloads.Working experience in test automation in one of the following programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred).Good understanding of Distributed SystemsGood understanding of networking, Filesystem, OS fundamentalsExperience testing a "systems" product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking).Experience in Docker Containers/Kubernetes preferredNice to have Experience in AWS, Google and Azure Cloud ecosystemsPrior system testing experience of large-scale deployments will be a big plus. I previously worked at Cisco, VMware and few networking start-ups During my tenure at Nutanix, I was fortunate to work with very talented group of Engineers, across multiple products. I got opportunity to work on Nutanix distributed files system, to test and build for scale. I was one of the earlier members in the Nutanix cloud networking team, where we built a multi-tenant cloud networking stack. Currently, I am working on next generation infrastructure platform built for cloud native Era. My team is responsible for qualification of Nutanix micro services platform, based on Kubernetes, and validating Nutanix life cycle manager which is the de-facto orchestrator for upgrading Nutanix software stack, hypervisors, and management plane We are looking for passionate candidates who has past experiences in systems/distributed system technologies/microservices and willing to learn something new every day.What the team says This is highly passionate team which is developing best of breed microservices platform with Kubernetes and many CNCF open-source projects This is the team with unlimited learning opportunities including container native data service platform, automation and building serviceability tools.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $238,800/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
