Job DescriptionQualifications

• You are the "go to" resource for customer interactions that exceed standard Systems Engineering support requirements (we always expect a baseline expertise in all areas from our SEs, but augment them with specialists in the advanced or new technology areas)
• Provide design consultation and best practice guidance for rollout, implementation, and policy conversion during the 'pre-sales' process for strategic opportunities. Take ownership of advanced 'proof of concept' testing in strategic accounts either at the customer site or Zscaler lab facilities
• Present to customers as SME at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from technician to CIO. Lead and support customer demonstrations (with our SE's) that showcase our unique value. Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the best alternative.
• Maintain bi-directional trusted advisor relationship with Product Management to drive client-based insights/feedback and future solution direction
• Provide product update and enhancement training to other SEs in the region or theater. Assist in the training of new Zscaler SEs in their designated region in installs customer presentations, and internally-focused deal preparation activities
• The Specialists role is an overlay technical role that directly supports sales delivery of quota. The specialists should be able to accelerate and increase the deal closure rates as well assist in generating new opportunities. The person is measured by their expertise and by their ability to lead to customer successes.Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical fields
  • 5-7 years of experience as Sales Engineer, Consulting Engineer, SE specialists or Solution Architect
  • Experience delivering products as cloud-based services
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - must be able to communicate at a business and technical level with internal teams, customers, partners and executives.
  • Leadership, drive, passion and charisma - ability to persuade, sell ideas and lead without authority.
  • Must have working knowledge and hands on experience in Tier-1 SaaS applications, licensing & entitlement, and analytics productsAdditional InformationThe base salary range for this full-time position is $162,500 to $250,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
