Digital Systems department at NIO is responsible for building highly reliable, secure, and scalable software for intelligent and fully autonomous driving vehicles. Our scope includes vehicle operating system, software platform, development & productivity tools, central computer and SOA-based digital architecture, cyber security, vehicle cloud & connectivity, etc. Simulation Core Development is a critical team in Digital Systems department, and is responsible for developing simulation and emulation related core components that empower an array of efficiency and quality improvement initiatives across the company. Responsibilities

• Build a top-class engineering team to develop core simulation & emulation technologies for next-generation intelligent vehicles
• Train and mentor team members and help them grow both technically and professionally
• Develop an open, collaborative, and innovation-driven team culture
• Work closely with architects to convert architectural designs to production-grade code
• Collaborate with the vehicle simulation platform team to ensure the developed simulation & emulation components can be tightly integrated into the whole vehicle simulation platform, in order to provide a highly efficient development & testing environment for user engineering teams to perform function and integration tests
• Be a bridge between the US team and China teams and ensure efficient collaboration across different sitesQualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry, and 3+ years in leading engineering teams as a people manager
  • In-depth knowledge of computer architectures, and working experience in developing simulation and emulation core technologies with virtualization (hypervisors, virtIO, paravirtualization, etc)
  • Proven capability of recruiting top talents, and building a great team culture
  • Outstanding communication & people skills
  • Good understanding of best practice for software development. Passionate about shipping high-quality software
  • Goal-driven, CAN-DO spirit, and organized mindset. Passionate about EV industry and smart vehicle technologies Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in scaled and highly automated CI/CD/CT environment, and scaling simulation by using high performance computing cluster / cloud infrastructure
    • Experience of building engineering teams from ground up

      • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 (minimum) -$202,000 (midpoint)
      • Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
