The UC Engineer coordinates and delivers the successful implementation, troubleshooting and support of voice infrastructure systems for application functionality and performance.Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:Job DutiesDesign, engineer and build voice solutions to meet business objectives, using a data-driven approachAdminister voice application through test/security controls based on business requirements, technical specifications and/or change control requestsContinually adjust voice services to optimize performance and functionality; partnering with IT peer groups to perform root cause analysis of issues and identify solutionsParticipate and/or lead in the development and review of clear voice and process documentation consistent with department standards; identify process gaps and recommend improvementsProvide 24/7 voice support and maintenance with on-call duties after hours, as required to meet service expectationsEssential SkillsMinimum 3 years' experience in managing IP/PBX system and ACD (PCCE/UCCE) applications, including troubleshooting connectivity and voice quality issues, in a 24/7 enterprise nationwide network environmentKnowledge of LAN switching, DOT1Q trunks, VLANs, QOS, H.323 and SIP, DHCP, COS and DSCP, SBC, and teleconference systemsKnowledge of network management and monitoring systems including voice quality monitorsKnowledge of troubleshooting SIP based WAN technologies and legacy POTS, T1, and PRI circuit technologiesKnowledge of analog and digital fax systemsFamiliarity with telephone banking and IVRAbility to problem solve effectively, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detailAbility to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlinesAbility to work on multiple projects at once, prioritizing, working independently and comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment; all while exhibiting exemplary technical skillsDemonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of usersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteCertification/License: CCNA Collaboration or CCNP certification is preferredMinimum Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent work experienceLocation: - -Hillsboro, OR 97124 - Rocklin, CA 95765 - San Jose, CA 95134 (HYBRID)Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: -$105k - $110k annually + annual bonusTarget Compensation in -Rocklin, CA 95765: -$115,500 - $121k - annually + annual bonusTarget Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134: -$131,250 - $137,500 annually + annual bonusBenefits options include:Traditional medical, dental, and vision coverage401K matching up to 5% per pay periodAccrue up to 17 days of Paid Time Off your first year of employment11 paid federal holidaysSpecial employee pricing on lending products such as mortgage, auto, and personal loans (eligibility for special employee pricing is subject to standard account requirements and underwriting criteria)What makes First Tech different?
