Reporting to the Sr. Sales/COV Sales Manager, the Account Executive
II is responsible for generating new business from new customers,
and, when directed, incremental business from existing clients,
continually increasing profitable revenue in two COV Workplace
Interiors Service Lines:
Office Furniture Sales: The core business of New Furniture Sales;
These include but are not limited to signage, desking, benching,
systems stations, laboratory, seating, conference, healthcare,
reception, high density storage, mailroom, ergonomic and private
office furniture.
Office Furniture Services: The core business of Office Services;
These include but are not limited to space planning, design,
furniture budgeting, ergonomic evaluation, delivery, installation,
project management, inventory, reconfiguration, decommissioning and
recycling.
An integral part of a successful outcome is partnering with all
departments for an end goal of customer satisfaction resulting in
company success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Duties:
Cold calling and networking to generate new business and for
additional business with existing customers - at least 50
calls/visits per month.
Achieve and exceed sales goal. Sales goals will be assigned with
territory considerations.
Conducts and coordinates sales presentations for potential new and
existing customers.
Work as customer account manager handling customer questions and
concerns with sales management assistance as needed.
Obtain assistance from operations or sales management for all
orders over $10,000, prior to presenting the Price and scope to the
Client.
Provides regular reports on general activity in all market
areas.
Coordinate sales efforts with Manager, for maximum sales
return.
Supports, promotes and practices the principles of Corovan's
Mission Statement, strategic plans and budget, as well as
department and organizational goals.

Conduct research to identify leads for project related
business.
Encouraged to initiate and/or participate in lead exchange groups.
Also, initiate relationships with individual lead exchange partners
from related industries.
Cold call project leads and set sales appointments.
Develop proposals for new and existing clients.
Present proposals and project plans to clients.
Consistently follow up with clients on open and pending
proposals.
Encouraged to participate in industry trade associations, at their
direction of sales manager, such as, IIDA, Cornet, NAIOP, BOMA,
IFMA, local lead and referral groups.
Conduct ongoing sales campaigns, setup meetings with contacts and
identify opportunities.
Customer Relationships:
Perform Account Management services, including but not inclusive
of: Provide a detailed scope of work for the client, and manage and
properly communicate expectations, both for and of the Client;
Professionally answer/address Client questions, concerns and
escalate issues when necessary; Identify all buyers and decision
influencers; Identify all future buyers; Develop relationships with
key personnel at accounts; Cross-sell all Corovan services.
Strategically partner with all internal departments of Corovan to
ensure Client success, which includes, but not limited to, scope of
work, change orders, communications from customer, collections,
billing issues and concerns.
Compile competitive information and formulates competitive
strategies and programs designed to grow revenue.
Makes in-person visits on key accounts and perform other client
relationship improvement activities on a consistent and relevant
basis.
Assist with Trade Show activities, e.g., booth set up, booth
assignments, organize appointment schedule, booth break down, and
show follow up.
Interact with Clients in person, virtually, and via telephone and
email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters
related to the services rendered by Corovan.
Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding customer
information.
Uses a high level of professionalism in verbal and e-mail
communication, always seeking to be helpful, to focus on problem
solving and arriving at a win-win interaction.
Maintain excellent customer service with the customers to establish
solid relationships.
Handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate any
pertinent matters to their manager.
Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and
potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and
via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer
satisfaction in all matters related to the operation.
Training and Development:
Become proficient on the company's chosen Contact Management
Software (CMS), and then utilize the software program daily to
manage the sales process and efficiently generate new business.
May be required to participate in Six Sigma projects.
Promote Corovan's Mission and Vision Statements.
Continuously promotes compliance with company policies and
procedures.
Safety:
Ensure the highest standards of safety, productivity and customer
service are exceeded daily.
Other Duties:
Other duties to meet business needs and requirements as
assigned.
Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have
significant internal or external effect.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks; participating in professional
societies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1. High School diploma.
2. Minimum three to five (3-5) years of outside sales experience in
Business to business furniture sales, with a successful
track-record of achieving sales revenue and target margins and
effectively managing customer relationships.
3. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
4. Knowledge of MS Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Valid California driver's license and driving record that meets
the company's insurance carrier's requirements.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of education and experience.
2. Five plus (5+) years of outside sales experience in Business to
business furniture sales, with a successful track-record of
achieving sales revenue and target margins and effectively managing
customer relationships.
3. Strong business acumen.
PRIMARY LOCATION:
San Jose Northern California.
