$19.50 - $20.50 / hourHiring Immediately!Work Schedule: Variable work schedule. Work hours may often exceed 30+ hours per week, contingent on availability and client needs. Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed is preferred.This position requires travel around the local area (serving San Jose and the South Bay); depending upon customer assignment.The Technician I is responsible for assisting in the relocation process by physically and professionally disconnecting and reconnecting workstation PCs, peripherals and related hardware. The Technician I is assigned to work at different customer account locations to provide technical support for commercial moving projects. Responsible for ensuring customer requests relating to IT Technical support are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. The work schedule is part-time, hours will vary. Reliable transportation is required for this position.Position ResponsibilitiesDisconnect and reconnect PCs and other peripheral electronic desktop components per supervisor's direction and the specific job requirements.Record basic system information on PC Disconnect/Reconnect Checklist such as serial numbers, manufacturer, model numbers and placement.Possess the ability and willingness to assist the moving crews if needed.May be required to set, offset, push, pull, lift, carry and move computer equipment, furniture, miscellaneous equipment and boxes as required.Ensure a professional manner and appearance in provided Corotech uniform.Capture the existing workstation layout at the customer site and ensure the new setup is placed the same.Label all the IT assets/inventories to ensure there is no missing items during the moving.Manage different cables and wires to ensure a nice, neat, and safe workstation.Work carefully in a Lab environments (medical lab or computer lab).Ensure the assigned tasks are carried out within Corovan productivity standards.Escalate technical issues/concerns to Corotech Manager.Quickly respond to any IT Technical requests from customers.Perform network connectivity testing.All other duties as assigned based on business needs.Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training.6 months Tech Support or related experiencePreferred QualificationsGood understanding about computer hardware, cables and connectionsOther RequirementsWilling to work weekends and overtime as needed is preferredMust be able to pass pre-employment screening including background check and drug testingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workdayExcellent follow-through and attention to detailExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skillsAbility to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervisionAbility to do electronics troubleshooting, analyzing information, good judgment in making decisionsExceptional client/customer service skills, equipment maintenance, ability to report work related issues to management, must maintain confidentiality, quality focus, results driven, supply management, ability to multitask, attention to detail and good oral and written communication skillsFamiliar with the office & installation move process and understand the move labeling and directional signage is preferredGood understanding of server equipment.Pay & BenefitsPay depending on experience ranges from Min: $19.50 - $20.50/hour DOERetirement savings plan with company matchPaid Sick LeaveEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramContinuous learning and career development training.Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance eligibility is evaluated regularly.
