Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for post-approval safety tracking of a particular drug by reviewing clinical claims data on a prospective basis and performing the requisite analysis using this data
  • Maintains registry to track individual outcomes and progress
  • Assesses the risks and benefits of marketed medicines
  • Provides information to consumers, practitioners and regulators on the effective use of the drug

    Required Qualifications:


    • Advanced degree (PhD or MD)
    • 5+ years of related research experience
    • 5+ years of study design, research methodology, and statistical analysis
    • 5+ years of experience meeting timelines and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
    • Knowledge of study design, research methodology, and statistical analysis
    • Proven track record in meeting timelines and ability to manage multiple competing priorities




      Preferred Qualifications:


      • PhD in Epidemiology, or related field
      • 3+ years with direct client contact
      • 4+ years of experience working with and analyzing large administrative healthcare databases, such as administrative claims data and/or electronic health records
      • 4+ years of experience applying advanced pharmacoepidemiologic methods, such as propensity score-based approaches
      • 2+ year of experience with SAS or similar statistical software
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as leader of a team
      • Solid work ethic and demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
      • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility with changes in responsibilities and duties

        Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
