Job Description:

Coast Personnel Services is seeking a Quality Inspector for a Wood Crate company. Working independently and with teams in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment to ensure the crate manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered, to meet the standards and requirements of the customer. You---ll visually inspect or manually test products or processes before, during and after the manufacturing process. You know documentation of findings is important. As you record, monitor, and analyze data, you pass on your findings to the Operations, Management, and/or Quality teams What You---ll Be Doing Receiving and Crate Inspection Inspect received parts from suppliers, such as hardware, foam and lumber Accepts or rejects completed work products by verifying the product or process meets the customer specifications and requirements through measurements and visual inspection Inspect product or process with specialized tools. This may include weighing or measuring finished products, assessing moisture content of wood, visually inspecting workmanship and/or gauging product reliability Uses Ops Center, Sage or related ERP software to track and update quality data. Assists in delivery of reports to Operations, Management and/or Quality departments Improvement Recommendations Reviews specifications, standards and/or test plans of customer designs, and reports feedback to the Design department Reviews, implements and follows up on corrective actions derived from customer complaints, customer returns, and/or non-conformances found and their root causes Participates in ISO audits to ensure local and company-wide compliance to specified standards Production Communication Gives feedback to Production department regarding any errors or non-conformances in the assembly process verbally or through written documentation Required Bilingual English and Spanish Must wear steel toe shoes/boots and other required personal protection equipment
