Job Description:

IT Support SpecialistDescription of Position: Under the supervision of the IT Manager, who reports to the Directory of Technology, the primary focus of the ITCoordinator is the first line of support to all staff including: Install and configure software and hardware, printers, apps, services etc. Develop protocols for the use of network resources across departments and projects. Support and train personnel responsible for systems and operation and provide advice on the most suitable IT choices. The ITCoordinator at The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) has the critical task of: evaluating, designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure for TFHE.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet and consult regularly with the department supervisor to determine objectives, functions and priorities.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, software and related equipment;
  • Provide on-site and/or remote service for all TFHE Staff/Faculty/Students;
  • Perform preventative maintenance on computers and related equipment to effectively increase their life expectancy;
  • Maintain parts, computer, and related equipment inventoried, notify supervisor when supplies are running low;
  • Maintain service records on assigned computers and peripheral devices within the organization;
  • Managing Google Console Management Software;
  • Managing, configuring, and setting-up Chromebooks;
  • Managing Phishing attacks on organization Gmail Accounts;
  • Setting-up PA System when requested by School Directors;
  • Maintain knowledge of current computer technologies, hardware and software;
  • Will need to travel to LVLA site as needed/agreed on;
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Expertise in IT tools and concepts, such as operating systems and internet protocol suites.
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Able to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
    • Ability to research solutionsMinimum Qualifications:
      • BS or BA or 3-5 Years of Experience in supporting and Educational Environment or similar
      • G Suite experience

Frequently required to compare, analyze, communicate, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate and negotiate.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is required to regularly interact with the students, staff, and the public.
