Job Description:

FoodSpace is focused on helping our clients create the best food and beverage amenity programs. We identify concepts and suggest tactical food and beverage strategies geared toward maximizing productivity and satisfaction.The Project Coordinator is responsible for day to day coordination of various projects; including scheduling, participating in meetings, and assisting the Project Manager/Senior Project Coordinator with all aspects related to ongoing and new projects. In addition, the Project Coordinator will perform health & safety checks, coordinate equipment maintenance and assist with vendor management in regard to retainer clients.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the various project schedulesProvide excellent customer service to design and retainer clientsFile for and track project health permits, communicate and asses needs for obtaining permitsOversee and conduct all required health inspections, prepare and submit all necessary documentation and cross communicate with multiple parties in preparation for the inspectionsRespond, review, track and manage all RFI's and Submittals for each jobsiteMonitor compliance to applicable state and county health codes, practice QA/QC during site inspectionsConduct bi-weekly jobsite walks, inspect and document site progress, coordinate with the GC site superintendent, project managers, and the MEP trades on all design and health code requirementsPrepare, process, review and monitor various documents such as meeting minutes, contracts, estimates, binders, etc.Perform health & safety checks as well as other various onsite audits for retainer clientsLead and conduct ambassador programsAssist with vendor management for retainer clients including foodservice operator as well as various vendors for equipment maintenance and program expansionsMaintain equipment specifications as well as other procurement support for foodservice equipmentOrder and maintain sample libraries of food service equipment finishes (i.e., health department approved flooring examples)Create and maintain electronic files for management of each clientCreate and maintain health department applications, forms, and documents by county as appropriateAttend seminars, meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplaceMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Basic construction knowledge is preferredDetail-oriented with good organizational and administrative skillsPositive team player who communicates effectivelyStrong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving, and adjusting plansAbility to absorb large amounts of work and projects simultaneouslyVery strong critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities coupled with confident decision-making abilityMust have a broad field of vision while understanding the scope of the business with detail orientationMust have a proactive approach, initiative and the ability to anticipate problems and propose appropriate solutionsAbility to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general publicRequires a high school diploma, Bachelor's degree is preferred2-3 years of related industry experience and project management experience is preferredBasic understanding and experience using CAT and REVIT is a plusMust have reliable transportationJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:All employees are required to wear appropriate PPE when on job sites in compliance with local health requirements.Ability to commute/relocate:San Jose, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:Construction: 1 year (Preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
