Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for a Backend Engineering Manager to
join an Application Security Platform company. This person will be
overseeing and managing a team of 3-6 people that are located in
San Jose and Belfast, that will be responsible for building out a
next generation vulnerability scanner for their clients. This
person will be overseeing the engineers work, handling code
reviews, and build proof of concept and help design with backend
components to this platform. This role is a management role, but
they should be comfortable with hands on development experience in
Golang and Python. This company operates in agile and handles two
week sprints. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a
small team of engineers and comfortable operating in a startup type
of environment. This permanent role is fully remote and can sit
anywhere in the US and will start immediately.
- Experience working in industries such as Application Security,
Startups, eCommerce, or AdTech
- Experience working in tech stack of Python, Go, Javascript,
React
- 7+ years of experience working in backend engineering
- 3-4 years of management experience overseeing a team
- Hands on experience with Python or Golang
- Experience building proof of concepts and help with design of new
architecture from the ground up
- Experience creating processes and procedures around environment;
vetting out environments, adding new tools, creating entire
solutions from scratch
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of offshore and onshore
Engineers; monitor work, review plans, code reviews, etc.
- Strong communication both written and verbal
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized company
