A Sodexo artisan account has a great opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 at a Corporate Services account, Broadcom Ridder Park located in San Jose, California.  

The Artisan Restaurant Collection was imagined and created in California by a market need for local sustainable, chef driven, farm to fork food created with love. 

The Executive Chef 1 will have total culinary responsibilities including the supervision of hourly staff with a focus on amazing fresh food for this location.

 

The best qualified Executive Chef will have strong, hands-on kitchen experience and will be accessible to staff while being on the floor during services times, showing strong leadership ability.   

 

This position offers Monday through Friday daytime schedule!

 

We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills. This is a high-level culinary management role, but will also be hands-on as needed to support operations.

 

Responsibilities will include:  

  • Menu creation and food costing
  • Strong focus on high quality food presentation
  • All food production training, quality control, and outcomes

Position Summary:

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Key Duties
-Executes the culinary function
-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
