Manufacturing at Align is a 24x7 operation dependent on technology, data science, and engineering. The Software Engineering / Enterprise IT group at Align Technology is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director to head up our Manufacturing IT and Technology function in our San Jose, CA location. This role collaborates / partners closely with WW Operations and other functions to build a world class organization passionate about Manufacturing at Align and driving efficiency. The successful Senior Director, Manufacturing IT and Technology will provide strategic vision / direction for "Plant in a box" and manage day to day operations for IT and critical fabrication software at our manufacturing locations. This candidate will also prepare the workforce for manufacturing of the future. Your daily tasks will allow you to work closely with IT, software developers, SQA, engineering management, project managers, and a diverse group of cross-functional teams. This exciting position will be part of a culture that is helping to improve lives every day through digital dentistry and this role is on the front lines of helping individuals get the smile they want. In this role, you will Provide Functional leadership for Manufacturing IT across Align Technology and lead the global Manufacturing Technology team Lead the development of the Manufacturing IT strategy and roadmap, and ensure its integration with the broader IT and enterprise strategic plans Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques Partner with WW Operations, Site Manufacturing, IT functional leaders and Information Security teams to define and drive solutions and processes to meet quality, cost, and flexibility targets Maintain currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be introduced, integrated, and assimilated across solution Identify and implement enhancements to MES and Fabrication systems to ensure site and global commonality, process conformance and continuous improvement data collection Define and execute Manufacturing projects to improve/support security, business continuity, product roadmap and scalability Assume overall responsibility for ensuring all organizational policy, procedures and processes are compliant with organizational and statutory requirements, including FDA, HIPAA, and Sarbanes Oxley In this role, you'll need Thorough understanding of the technology and healthcare / medical device manufacturing landscape (external) and how it shapes and defines strategies to help companies deliver on shareholder expectations (Revenue, Operating Margin, and/or Customer Satisfaction) Masters or Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience 10+ years of in-depth, hands-on experience managing engineering teams and global Manufacturing IT organizations Understanding of MES technologies, Rockwell or equivalent Knowledge of robotics and automation best practices, data driven intelligence, inventory tracking and shop floor management Digital transformation skills Outstanding leadership and organizational skills of globally dispersed teams Excellent communication skills Excellent problem-solving ability Sound like a good fit?
