This Field Service Engineering position will be located in San
Jose, CA, and will be primarily responsible for serving our
customers within the Northern California area. The Field Services
Engineer will work with both the Spirent Support Services and Sales
team located in the United States and support both the post-sales
implementation and deployment of Spirent solutions. All candidates
must have a proven background working with High-Speed Networks,
Cloud & Virtualization, Cybersecurity solutions and demonstrated
capability to rapidly learn and assimilate new networking
technologies as our customers require. This engineer must be
self-driven, comfortable with multi-tasking, able to effectively
set customer expectations, complete tasks with little or no
supervision and perform quality work under the pressure of tight
customer timelines. Travel outside the home area of San Jose, CA
will be approx. 30-50%

- Deliver onsite technical service and support for
- Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging
- Tasks may include customer installation and training.
- Promotes and educates customers on Spirent support processes,
- Keeps stakeholders (e.g. sales, customer, technical peers,
management) informed of actions, and progress on technical product
- Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, online networks,
- Communicate with Spirent product teams regarding bugs and
proactively conduct follow-ups to ensure fixes are received and
tested by customers.
