In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on client projects that build resilient supply chains globally and drive clients towards sustainably sourcing their materials and services. ERM supports many of the largest technology, media and telecommunication (TMT), pharmaceutical, chemical and manufacturing companies in evaluating the performance of their suppliers on environmental, safety, social and sustainability issues. Sustainable sourcing is a fast growing area of the market and we are looking for an experienced professional with experience supporting companies to build and implement sustainable sourcing programs.

The ideal candidate will have performed supplier certifications, CSR Benchmarking, supplier due diligence, established corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, prepared full material disclosures, ESG Surveys and programs and assisted in the preparation of sustainability reports. Ideally with high tech (TMT) clients.

ERM is structured to encourage collaboration and networking among regional offices, providing opportunities to collaborate with ERM's global sustainability and supply chain professionals to share expertise and consulting opportunities. Our many leaders proactively work together to build strategies and campaigns around key business drivers for our clients, with the primary focus of finding and delivering high-profile rewarding projects and building our business. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging projects for large industrial and global clients. Access to ERM's national experts provides knowledge sharing of best practices across the industry and ongoing learning opportunities for our team, while building the required experience to obtain your professional registration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical assistance and lead projects that deliver value to ERM's supply chain sustainability services and client base globally. Serve as a key member of the "core" technical team to drive double-digit profitable growth of ERM's sustainability services business across North America and globally.
  • Assist Project Managers for strategic supply chain sustainability programs for a variety of industrial/technology clients with complex business challenges. Work closely with clients and develop strong relationships to understand specific processes and develop a sustainable sourcing strategy to help clients manage their supply chain risks. Achieve client's expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Contribute to expanding ERM's supply chain sustainability services annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in the identification of new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Capitalize on existing client relationships to expand ERM's profile and market share in the regional and global sustainability market (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development).
  • Develop a working understanding of ERM's other consulting service areas and actively support cross-selling other services to existing clients.
  • Provide topical research, perform supply chain compliance assessments, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience and confidence to lead and grow business in a dynamic market environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience, specializing in or more of procurement, supply chains, sustainable sourcing, corporate social sustainability or related fields.
  • 4-8 years of experience in the procurement or supply chain field including sustainable sourcing.
  • Well established reputation and recognized technical expertise by the marketplace.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and "people" skills.
  • Positive outlook, collaborative, and driven by the success of ERM as a global company.
  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Local candidates preferred.
