As Application Scientist, your role is to perform feasibility
and validation studies for custom projects using biological models!
The successful candidate will be an individual with a passion for
customer satisfaction, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and
is a results-oriented problem solver.
- Work directly with Sales, Field Applications & external
customers to understand specific scientific application
- Develop and execute experimental plans to prove feasibility of
achieving specific customer needs and to validate the final
- Acquire and analyze data, interpret results and draw
conclusions with complete records in accordance with quality system
- Contribute to the publication and promotion of Molecular
Devices products and scientific applications through presenting
results at scientific conferences and in technical literature.
- BS/MS with experience, Ph.D preferred, in Cell & Molecular
Biology, Biochemistry or related field (will accept foreign
- 5+ years of laboratory experience: to include mammalian and
microbial cell culture.
- Strong, working knowledge of Molecular Devices instruments and
- Demonstrated experience with verification and validation of
scientific instruments and assays.
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientists and
non-scientists from a diverse group of backgrounds
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams as well as
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required (<10%)
