Reporting to the CHRO, the Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition will join an HR team that also includes leaders from Compensation, Learning & Development, and HR Operations. In this role, you will inspire, grow and nurture a team of engaged recruiters responsible for recruiting talent globally. As a mid-sized company, nearing 800 employees globally, your influence won't be confined to one small box; you will be an integrated TA Leader, helping guide, grow and enhance the entire function including Recruitment, Recruitment Operations, and Employment Branding. You will play a key role in maturing our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts. We are seeking a leader with a strategic, proactive, and progressive mindset; one who is results-oriented, metrics focused, and constantly looking for areas of process-improvement. Xactly's Human Resources team is a tight-knit team with diverse backgrounds--our department includes both early, mid, and career professionals from a variety of backgrounds. You're charged with bringing progressive, creative, and impactful Recruitment strategies to the Company and developing an international team of Recruiters to their full potential. To be successful in this role, we'll look to you to ensure this critical function serves as a business partner and advisor to key leadership and hiring managers across Xactly's global offices and staff: North America, AsiaPac, and EMEA.


  • 10+ years recruitment experience, from strategy through to operational execution, preferably in a high growth environment

  • 10+ years of experience leading recruiting teams and all aspects of headcount planning, setting and inspecting KPIs/MBO's, and hiring delivery

  • 5+ years of experience regularly interfacing and communicating with executive leaders up to the C-suite

  • Build multi-dimensional recruiting strategies based on internal and external data and benchmarks

  • Create, teach, and foster diversity and inclusion best practices in all aspects of selection, assessment, and hiring

  • Act as an advisor to executive level stakeholders as the recruiting SME on market trends, recruiting metrics, operational processes, systems and tools

  • Partner with business leaders, HR and Finance to build and maintain an effective workforce plan

  • Set vision, direction, and priorities through the development and execution of a strategic roadmap

  • Lead, develop and manage a team of leaders and recruiters to hire high quality candidates at scale

  • Lead and execute employment marketing plans to drive up candidate flow for targeted positions

  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing & stakeholder management skills

  • Thought leadership and innovation in sourcing, candidate development/experience, and hiring manager partnerships

  • Prepare and review the annual recruitment budget

  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, communication)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred


  • Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow

  • Gain a strong understanding of the Xactly business model and the business challenges Xactly solves

  • Get an excellent grasp of the hiring needs, resources, processes and actions needed to ensure all critical hiring needs are met

  • Build relationships with internal business partners including key executive leaders and hiring managers

  • Dive into recruiting and diversity metrics. Where are we winning? What are roadblocks in our pipeline?

  • Facilitate motivating weekly recruiter meetings. You'll identify topics to cover and follow up with action items in order to keep process iteration and momentum going. Get to know the team

  • Evaluate the efficacy of our recruitment process and identify areas for training, both on the recruiting team, and company wide


  • Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don't know

  • Coach recruiters on effectively training their interviewers and hiring managers through feedback, feedforward, and mentorship

  • Evaluate the efficacy of our interviewers. Who is calibrated? How can we improve this calibration to make sure we're using time and resources wisely?

  • Analyze ways in which we can scale and improve our candidate, employee, and hiring manager experience. Bring ideas to the table and take action to implement

  • Begin to implement your vision for change/impact that you have been developing over the past 3-months


  • Have a strong understanding of Xactly's recruiting function at a global level

  • Continue to implement opportunities for change and improvement as they are identified

  • Conduct a 6-month review with the recruiting team to ensure performance is in line with expectations

  • Review how performance is tracking against headcount plan; identify areas where performance is lacking, if any, and implement plan for improvement

  • Analyze six months' worth of metrics and identify areas for process improvement, if necessary

  • Implement your vision for change/impact that you have been developing over the past 6-months

  • Be a subject matter expert in all things Xactly


  • Be seen as a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact company-wide
  • Successfully met the hiring goals for the fiscal year, and have a firm plan in place to reach future hiring goals

Pay range: $152,000 - $190,000 salary + annual bonus

Final pay determinations, salary ranges and pay increases are established by the employer. The ranges are an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. They are based upon a combination of local industry benchmarks, budget, experience, and internal comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills, and/or hones current skills.
