As the Director of People Development, Career and Onboarding you will lead a team passionate about developing, designing, and implementing innovative global solutions that improve the team member value proposition. You will lead the strategy for Micron professional and career development as well as onboarding. You will build relationships with multiple business unit leaders to support Micron's goals and strategic objectives through People Development and other cross functional groups. You will also be a key consultant to our executive/senior business leaders and People Organization Partners on upskilling and new skilling to help prepare our global workforce for the future.

This position can be located in San Jose, CA or Boise, ID

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leads overall strategy and integration of the Team Member life-cycle experience at Micron including career, professional and onboarding development
  • Lead design and delivery of world-class experiences in the domains of career, professional development, and onboarding
  • Responsible for vendor management of our online learning and development partners
  • Leads innovation and sustainment of Micron University and the Micron Digital Skills Academy
  • Oversees global People Development communication and marketing strategies
  • Supports executive onboarding when needed
  • Advances partnership and counsel of Workforce Development teams globally to integrate and improve frameworks and execution in the business
  • Act as strategic consultant to key partners and internal team members
  • Lead and manage a team of cross-functional, global program owners responsible for overall success in each domain
  • Lead the measurement strategies for each domain
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition on the Micron Team Member Value Proposition and Employee Brand
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition on defining and managing Micron's Onboarding Experience
  • Partners with People Development DEI Lead to ensure inclusion and global perspective are integrated into experiences
  • Supports integration with Workday
  • Leads professional and facilitation excellence strategy for People Development, e.g. presentation and facilitation skills, ISD skills, external benchmarking, and learning collaboration days
  • Measures efficiency of program experiences and overall strategy
  • Partners with People Development Partner and Experience leads on localizing content as needed
  • Facilitates People Development experiences as needed
  • Provides feedback and leads challenging conversations and interactions as needed
