Your Role and Responsibilities As an M&A Cloud Strategy Leader, you will be responsible for executing a deal process from end to end. This includes researching and generating acquisition and partnership ideas, prioritizing objectives and planning internal activity, driving due diligence and valuation analysis, spearheading term sheet and contract negotiations, creating and presenting strategic documents and recommendations, and supporting integration activities. Your role will often be critical in making recommendations regarding the impact of acquisitions on GBS Strategy to GBS hybrid cloud strategy. Responsibilities: Identify compelling opportunities that support GBS's strategic priorities through engagement with senior business leaders, investment bankers, and venture capitalists Work with senior business leaders to articulate acquisition rationale and develop financial models to support the business case Lead diligence reviews of target companies and identify key risks and paths to resolution Work closely with the integration team to support integration planning and execution Work with GBS and corporate M&A teams to assist in due diligence and develop / support case for acquisitions Create materials and develop communications to provide regular updates to the leadership team on progress, key decisions, and major risks / issues that need to be resolved Build out and continuously improve GBS capabilities by developing best practices and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team Required Technical and Professional Expertise 5+ years of consulting experience in IT public / private cloud solutions, IT assessment design, Enterprise IT, IT infrastructure and M&A integrations/carve-outs to support private equity transactions Experience in the areas of system management Expensive expertise in hybrid multi cloud, container management and Kubernetes, cloud native application and platform modernization, one to many hyperscaler offerings (AWS, azure etc) Strong understanding and experience in public/private cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, VMware, and OpenStack) including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, DBaaS, and DRaaS solutions Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with an ability to identify, structure and solve business problems Experience building and evaluating financial models Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise 5 years of experience and knowledge of IBM Z and RedHat OpenShift Certification in RedHat or Architect certification in one or more of the prominent Public Clouds (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP) About Business Unit IBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
