Cielo House is an innovative group of treatment centers for Eating Disorders. With locations thorughout the San Francisco Bay Area, we offer comprehensive eating disorder treatment at various levels of care, providing treatment for individuals and families affected by eating disorders at all stages of the recovery process. We have locations in Moss Beach, Burlingame, and San Jose, as well a specialty program for Adolescents in San Jose. Unlike many other treatment environments, each of our programs is set in a comfortable, warm homelike setting, allowing clients to be themselves and feel a sense of safety and community when they are attending treatment.Cielo House has a strong track record of client outcomes, and has been recognized nationally for the quality of care we provide. Additionally, we have a strong employee retention record, with many employees continuing to be part of our organization since its inception in 2010.We are seeking to hire a Psychotherapist, either part-time or full-time depending upon the candidate's interest. These positions are rarely available within the organization, and would be a great opportunity for someone to obtain a clinical leadership position that features a good balance of client interaction and clinical supervision.The ideal candidate should have clinical experience with the eating disorder population either within an Eating Disorder Treatment Program or as Private Practice. The candidate must be licensed to provide Psychotherapy in the State of California and should be able to supervise Interns. Rather than looking at a number of years of experience, we prefer to meet with a candidate and gauge experience and goodness of fit in person or via Skype.This position is avaiable right away, but we would be happy to hire the right candidate and begin paid training right away. Job Description and requirements:--PsychotherapistSkills required:Strong leadership skills.--Ability to communicate effectively the essential clinical features of each case and engage is case collaboration and treatment planning.--Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.--Strong knowledge of the psychological and physiological effects of eating disorders.--Knowledge of best practices for eating disorder, treatment, appropriate documentation, and clinical practice.--Ability to make significant clinical decisions about Levels of Care, admission criteria, and other.Job Functions and Duties: Provides specialized psychotherapy, psychoeducation groups and Multi-family groups according to education and training.--Documents all treatment activities and significant contacts with the patient in accordance with Policies and Procedures. Records therapeutic interactions, data and therapeutic goals in concise, readable format in EMR system on a timely basis.--Identifies significant changes in patients' clinical status and communicates to appropriate member(s) of treatment team.--Maintains all standards of confidentiality.--Interacts professionally, respectfully and flexibly with patients, families and staff in performance of daily duties.--Complies with continuing education requirements of field and completes required annual competencies. Calls insurance companies for authorizations and ongoing utilization management, writes appeals for clients, summarizing the medical necessity criteria met for each client.Education required: Master's Degree or Higher in PsychologyAssociate MFT, Associate LPCC, Associate Social Worker, MFT, PsyD, PhD, LCSW, LPCC with valid license or registration in good standing in the state of California.
