Ref ID: 00420-0011651704Classification: Accounting ClerkCompensation: $19.79 to $22.91 hourlyThere is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Accountemps, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary position located in the San Jose, California area. Key responsibilities - Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit - Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers - Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codesJob Requirements:- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested - Ability to multitask and meet deadlinesAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
