Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care

from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
County-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center designated
Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life
Support Organization (ECMO) and certified by The Joint Commission
in Sepsis care.

SCHEDULE: .8 FTE (32 HOURS PER WEEK), SHIFT: Evenings Shift with
**$30,000 SIGN-ON BONUS**
Coordinates total nursing care for critically ill patients,
averaging in age from 57-70 years. Primary patient population
served include those admitted for acute/unstable trauma, acute
neurological incidents, acute respiratory failure, MI, acute GI
bleed, electrolyte imbalance, and patients post drug overdose.
Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by
working cooperatively with members of the health care team to
maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the
clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit based
quality improvement activities. Is able to provide mentorship and
guidance to new employees.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: CA RN, BCLS, ACLS Preferred:
CCRN, TNCC EXPERIENCE: Minimum: 2 years of acute care nursing in a
cardiovascular, trauma, or neurosurgical ICU. Preferred: Five years
ICU nursing with emphasis on trauma, neurosurgical, or
cardiovascular care. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: High School
Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Minimum: Ability to use critical thinking skills
and prioritize aspects of patient care; possesses good
interpersonal communication skills. Is able to calculate medication
dosages and safely administer medications within the critical care
