The Biomedical Installation Specialist is responsible for the
Biomedical aspects of new centers in regards to having the
necessary equipment from dialysis machines outfitted with SPIN,
dialysis chairs, ancillary equipment and all Biomedical binders.

About the Role
Responsible for outfitting new dialysis machines for SPIN
Station. Coordinate and oversee the vendor machine installation
process. Extend bicarbonate/concentrate lines on dialysis machines,
add status light, red evacuation bags, barcode scanners and side
Order all ancillary equipment to set up new center and
coordinate all necessary deliveries:
Coordinate initial electrical leakage test for ancillary
Assemble equipment - All ancillary medical and non-medical
equipment; crash cart, patient lift, AED. Assemble and install
rinse ports for basins, and label basins. Schedule, receive and a
ssemble dialysis chairs.
Responsible for testing and calibrating bicarbonate system. Draw
initial AAMI water analysis on appropriate sites. Draw 4
consecutive weeks of environmental draws and report to appropriate
personnel. Start disinfections of appropriate systems (bicarbonate
& water treatment systems)
Organize and fill Biomedical binders with appropriate
documentation. Start daily, weekly, monthly checks and establish
Program integrated Automated Heat Disinfection on water
treatment system and dialysis machines to ensure systems are
Mount appropriate signage - Evacuation Maps, etc. Act as liaison
for Facilities, IS department and contractor with sub-contractors
as necessary. Oversee local fire inspections for licensing (if

Demonstrated knowledge of materials management processes,
dialysis and water treatment equipment and the dialysis regulatory

Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent
License/Certifications: Valid driver’s license; CPR
