The Senior Financial Contracts Analyst is responsible for
reviewing revenue-generating contracts and customer pricing
recommendations to ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles) and the company’s policies for
revenue recognition and operations.
This individual has a critical role in analyzing revenue
recognition contract information for the company in a timely and
accurate manner. The position will be based at the Company
Headquarters in San Jose, CA or Lehi, UT.
What you'll do
Review contracts and customer pricing recommendations for
revenue recognition compliance.
Prepare contract summaries to highlight revenue recognition
issues and non-standard terms.
Partner with Legal, and the Operations teams on deal and price
structuring to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with
ASC 606 and the company’s revenue recognition and operations
Be a high caliber professional and revenue expert that is a
liaison for contract issues with Finance, Operations, and Legal
teams. Provide revenue recognition guidance and training to such
teams as the need arises.
Work closely with various organizations throughout Adobe to
standardize and scale revenue-generating contracts to meet company
objectives for revenue recognition and operations.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for the
contract approval process.
Prepare data and other support information as needed for audits
and reviews conducted by external/internal auditors.
Assist with other projects as vital.
What you'll need to succeed
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (or
equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of work experience. Big 4 CPA firm and software
industry experience strongly preferred.
Technical knowledge of ASC 606
Experience in reviewing complex contractual terms and conditions
to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with
Ability to work collaboratively with teams from
Finance/Accounting, Sales, Legal, the Business Units and
Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks
simultaneously under tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to
Effective interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the
ability to collaborate with all levels of personnel
Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com a plus
