Job Description

The Director of Operations maintains responsibility for the oversight of $30M of Service Parts Inventory and Service Fixed Assets within the Repair Business Group. This position has overall responsibility for managing and controlling production planning to support OSTA repair activities and oversee the control of all physical movement of approximately $30m in inventory to, and including, inventory control activities, including purchasing, master scheduling, forecasting, and new product introductions. This position implements and manages standardized work processes to produce a more efficient operation, as well as develops and implements operational goals and improvements to existing operational policies.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:

* Plan and manage the activities of a staff including Managers, Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Planning and Inventory Personnel, and Administrative employees.

* Establish and enforce compliance with inventory controls for chemical & parts expiration requirements, Tools calibration controls, batch and serialization tracking.

* This position will represent the Service & Repair Business in all internal and external audits relating to inventory control and will support multiple development projects and ensure that all quality standards and procedures are met.

* Establish processes & procedures to ensure an efficient and productive operation that meets the requirements of managing of Customer inventory waiting approval; and the issuing of Core inventory to support the Build to Stock of Subunit inventory.

* Develop and implement improvements to existing operational processes and standards.

* Coordinate workflow to ensure an efficient and productive operation that meets the requirements of the customer.

* Support multiple projects involving the design, development, and implementation of complex new and existing work processes, databases and software applications.

* Lead or participate in projects to reach short-term and long-term goals to improve the processes of the repair operations.

* Coordinate the standardization and enhancement of operational goals.

* Analyze and evaluate operational costs and service levels to uncover areas of opportunity.

Review Production and Operation report. Coordinate the resolution of operational, production and service problems to ensure minimum costs and the prevention of operational delays.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience coordinating activities among departments or groups.

* Management and leadership skills.

* Principles and practices of budgeting and financial analysis.

* Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

* Excellent interpersonal, creative and analytical skills.

* Knowledge of MRP control system, APICS certification a plus.
