The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for preparing
examination rooms, recording height and weight, preparing examinees
for examination and assisting physicians as needed.
Routes examinee to exam room, vitals room and/or x-ray room as
Review chart and verifies examinee information is available for
Prepares examinee for examination by performing and recording
height and weight.
When necessary, chaperones examinations with female examinees or
as requested by physician.
Responsible for set-up , maintenance, and cleanliness of exam
Reports any issues or maintenance needs to management.
Maintains a smooth flow of examinations to ensure appointments
are kept on schedule.
Secures patient information and maintains patient
confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
Ensures all practices are carried out in accordance with state
and federal safety and legal regulations.
Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing, and
proofreading as required.
Promotes effective and efficient utilization of clinical
resources and supplies.
Participate in various educational and or training activities as

High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 6 months on the job experience in a medical office
or related field preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish may be required in certain office

Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax,
copier, scanner, and telephone
Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including
but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the
