About the Role Golden State Communications is seeking a highly
organized and detail-oriented Procurement & Inventory Accounting
Specialist to support our growing operations. This role is
essential in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely
procurement of materials, and seamless coordination with our
accounting team. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical
skills, excellent communication, and a passion for maintaining
efficient and accurate supply chain processes. This position plays
a key role in ordering, inventory reconciliation, data reporting,
and accounting-related inventory tasks that support both
operational and financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities Ordering &
Procurement Place purchase orders for materials, products, and
supplies based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and
production schedules. Track order status, resolve discrepancies,
and ensure timely delivery. Prepare and process purchase orders in
accordance with company policies. Inventory Management &
Reconciliation Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies,
identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Reconcile physical inventory with system records and correct errors
as needed. Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and
analyze data to optimize stock levels. Create new inventory items,
maintain item guidelines, and update pricing. Data Analysis &
Reporting Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including turnover
and variance reports. Identify trends in inventory levels, supplier
performance, and order patterns. Provide data-driven
recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
Collaboration & Communication Work closely with sales, warehouse,
and accounting teams to ensure smooth inventory flow. Communicate
with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding order
status and discrepancies. Provide training and support to staff on
inventory control procedures. Systems & Process Improvement
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, orders, and
adjustments in the inventory management system. Identify
opportunities to streamline procurement and inventory processes.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Accounting Support Upload monthly inventory reports to Motorola.
Manage weekly trade-ins and promotions, ensuring timely submission.
Upload Empower Rewards reports weekly and ensure proper credit is
received. Update and monitor the daily open orders report.
Collaborate with the accounting team to process inventory
adjustments. Qualifications Education High school diploma or
equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business
administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related
field strongly preferred. Experience 3–5 years of experience in
inventory control, purchasing, procurement, or related field.
Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities. High
attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in data entry and
recordkeeping. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of
inventory control principles and basic supply chain concepts. Why
