The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is:Description:SunPower is seeking a Legal Assistant for a dynamic, dedicated and collaborative team working in one of the economy's most important growth industries. Part of a problem-solving team working to build the renewable energy structure of the future with forward-looking energy solutions. At SunPower, the legal team works directly with the business to solve multi-jurisdiction, multi-functional, complex problems that require a willingness to create new solutions for a leading solar development company offering a broad array of energy solutions for both residential and commercial customers.The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the library of legal forms needed for residential solar sales to customers, and other template agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with in-house and external attorneys to coordinate the creation of new form agreements as well as regularly updating existing agreements, requiring close coordination across subject matter experts, and will also provide general support to other members of the Legal Department on a wide variety of matters as instructed.Specific duties will include:* Serving as the key point of contact between internal stakeholders and outside counsel to coordinate their feedback on the creation of, or amendments to forms of customer-facing agreements and other template agreements and making the appropriate edits and updates;* Maintaining a document tracking log to ensure appropriate version controls and to track required updates;* Maintaining and meeting a schedule for the ongoing review and update of forms of agreements;* Communicating with stakeholders about updates and amendments of forms of agreements;* Collecting and summarizing legal research for attorneys, as instructed;* Assisting with the closings of transactions and agreements as instructed;* Preparing and filing legal documents with appropriate entities, as instructed; and* Assisting attorneys and other members of the legal team as needed in a variety of transaction, regulatory and other matters.Required Skills and Capabilities:* Excellent project management skills.
