Title:: Software Engineer (C++ / AI Knowledge Extensibility) Location: CA - Bay Area - REMOTE Contract: 12 Months Pay Rate: $95-100/hr, W2 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Weekly Pay Overview Join the AI Knowledge Extensibility Team to help build the knowledge extension platformprimarily developed in C++along with the next-generation developer platform within Smartglass Server, another major C++ project. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, thrives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, and is passionate about building robust server-side systems. Key Responsibilities Participate in the build-out of the developer-facing framework primarily written in C++ Ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of production systems Develop and maintain dashboards for monitoring and system insights Implement instrumentation and logging to improve system observability Design and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality Drive logging, automation, and system improvements across the stack Focus on development within the server-side stack Support development of the capability platform for Ray-Ban smartglasses Produce efficient C++ implementations optimized for hardware Work closely with team leads for task assignments and delivery Participate in daily standups and agile workflow Required Qualifications Proficient coding experience in C++ Prior work on AI Deep interest in server-side stack and backend development Experience with end-to-end development involving mobile and backend Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Top must-have skills: C++, system design Strong C++ expertise and ability to create high-performance, hardware-efficient implementations Preferred Qualifications Experience architecting system-level solutions across all phases of the software lifecycle Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and projects Android development experience Experience building developer-facing frameworks Ideal Candidate Profile Fast learner who excels in ambiguous, dynamic environments Thrives when working across multiple projects and technologies Passionate about scalable, robust server-side architecture Additional Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and apply fixes Strong understanding of computer hardware and software Familiarity with development tools such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc. Years of Experience Needed 510 years of industry experience 4 years specifically in C++ and device OS (AOSP)level development Story Behind the Need The team is accelerating an aggressive roadmap for Wearables MCP stack, requiring a strong C++ engineer who can execute quickly and deliver high-quality solutions for AI infrastructure and smartglass platforms.
