Cisco IT is embarked on a major transformation towards Cloud native
and software defined services. The focus is on building cloud
native applications, programmability through well defined APIs, and
support of private and public cloud deployments. To support this
vision, we build and operate a Multi-Cloud Management Platform for
applications to utilize cloud services.
What You'll Do
This role is for an experienced and talented individual to help
build and improve this platform. All enhancements must be based on
industry-leading architectures utilizing a microservices-based
structure that is deployed in the cloud. It supports service
providers by onboarding their services in a quick, easy manner, and
it supports an application owner by providing various offered
services from a single platform.

management, other development teams, QA, and documentation
Who You Are
- Architect, design, test and deliver system software to satisfy
- Participate in technical discussions and provide innovation to
- Experience with various persistence technologies like
Cassandra, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
- Experience with Openstack, Openshift,
- Possess strong ability to solve complex problems
- Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in
designing product and component level architecture
- Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong background in Software Design and Architecture and
complete Agile development life cycle
- Experience developing in a CI/CD, Devops model with full
knowledge of Jenkins, GIT, is required
- Hands-on development experience with multiple languages, such
- Must be a team player and work well in small and large group
- Must be highly driven and motivated with high level of
- You possess a BS/MS degree in engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in software design, and application
- 4+years of experience developing applications based on
microservice architecture and API development
- Requires hands on experience with designing a microservice
based architecture, container deployment and management tools like
kubernetes, docker, etc.
- Experience with Cloud Native software development is a major
- Mysql is highly desirable
- Opensource libraries and monitoring tools is a plus

the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S.
and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For
non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only;
employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring
ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation
target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring
location and additional factors, including but not limited to
skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision
insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short

numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid
holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday,
plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days
of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away
to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on
top of their base salary, which is split between quota and
non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at
the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue
attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds
100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five
times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For
non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales
objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans
do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive
compensation to be paid.
