Job Description:

B GARAGE was founded in 2017 by two PhD graduates from Stanford University. After having spent over five years researching robotics, computer vision, aeronautics, and drone autonomy, the co-founders set their minds on building a future where aerial robots would become an integral part of our daily lives without anyone necessarily piloting them. Together, our common goal is to redefine the user experience of drones and to expand the horizon for the use of drones.
The B GARAGE team is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative director of computer vision and perception to support the launch of intelligent aerial robots and autonomously sustainable ecosystems.
Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of computer vision software for inventory recognition in warehouses
• Lead the design and development of perception software for autonomous aerial robots
• Build and lead a computer vision/ perception team
• Manage road maps and projects as collaborating across teams
  Minimum Qualifications
  • M.S. degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering disciplines
  • 10+ years of work experience in computer vision and robotics
  • Experience in object detection and recognition, semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction, and image processing
  • Sound foundations in mathematics, statistics, optimization, computer vision, and deep learning
  • Proficient in programming with ROS, C++, and Python
  • Experience in software development life cycle
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Self-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    Optional Qualifications
    • Ph.D. degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering disciplines
    • Experience in mobile or aerial robots
