THE ROLE:

Great opportunity for an EDA Architect career professional to join an elite team to develop ongoing solutions in the Adaptive & Embedded Computing Group (AECG) division of AMD semiconductor. This position within the Vivado Software group of AECG focuses on research and development of novel multi-threaded and multi-process algorithms, ML techniques for Placement and Routing with the aim of improving Quality of Results (QoR), Runtime and Memory, by orders of magnitude.

THE PERSON:

Vivado Software team is looking for a software engineer with expertise in Algorithms and Graph Theory, as well as strong C++ programming skills to work on a critical Place and Route projects for next generation state of the art Vivado Backend tool.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate new FPGA architecture features, and its impact on existing EDA tools
• Devise solutions to help customers with their critical design needs
• Design and develop machine learning solutions to automate the physical design flow PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Solid foundation in data structures, graph theory, and software engineering
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Proven expertise in C++
  • Experience with Data structures, Graph Theory and Algorithms
  • Knowledge of EDA Algorithms, Distributed Computing and ML techniques is a plus
  • Proven experience in Digital Design and FPGA is a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
    • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related equivalent, PhD desired, but not required

      Expected to range from $149,600 to $224,400, commensurate with experience and specific skill sets
