If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe IBM API Connect SAAS team is looking for a Software Developer who loves working with high performing teams, wants to work with cutting edge Node.js / React and Golang technology, and thrives on helping customers become successful with API projects. Application programming interfaces (API) are the digital glue that links services, applications, sensors and mobile devices to create compelling customer experiences and help businesses tap into new market opportunities. They allow customer to bring new digital services to market, open revenue channels and exceed customer expectations. IBM API Connect is full-lifecycle API management solution that addresses critical aspects of the API lifecycle for both on-premises and cloud environments providing the capability to create, run, manage, secure and Socialize APIs.In this role you will have an opportunity to make a big impact by helping build a global development & support team that excels in delighting our customers. This role specializes in performing and enabling development and support of IBM software, hardware, and solutions.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseYou will be required to have the following experience:Strong understanding of industry standard software development practices, and demonstrated experience in designing, prototyping, building, and testing complex software.Understanding of possible attack activities such as a denial of service, tampering, spoofing, privilege escalation, etc.Strong written communication skills and ability to articulate technical security analysis to a non-technical audience.Hands on troubleshooting, analysis and technical expertise to resolve incidents.Understanding of enterprise environments, specifically cloud-based and hybrid cloud environments.Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Open Shift Container Platform (OCP).Familiarity with cloud-based providers: IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. and their hosting tools and APIs.Experience with developing Internet Services; and/or Managed Services.Experience working with operating systems (Linux, RedHat, OpenShift, etc.).Experience in full stack development with excellent programming skills in Node.js, React.js, Go, Python, etc.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseSolid experience with OCP Native containers.Scripting and deployment topology knowledge: Shell, Ansible, etc.Experience monitoring workloads through clouds.Understanding of cloud concepts around Auto-scale and Auto-recover cloud components.Knowledge of General IT security standards, principles, and compliances (ISO27k, SOC2, GDPR, PCR, etc).Familiar with cloud infrastructure technologies: ArgoCD, Terraform, etc.About Business UnitIBM's Cloud and Cognitive software business is committed to bringing the power of IBM's Cloud and Watson/AI technologies to life for our clients and ecosystem partners around the world.
