We are looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer
based out of San Jose, CA . As a Software Engineer at Northrop
Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be
a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the
use of Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we
continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense
products and capabilities for the warfighter. Our success is

What You'll Get To Do:
Be part of our Agile development team using modern development
practices in a DevOps environment with an emphasis on Continuous
Integration. Work on C++, Java and/or Python programming.
Potentially be involved in mostly new development for a
micro-service event driven architecture using Docker Containers,
Kubernetes, Helm charts and AWS services. Also get to utilize the
Atlassian product suite, including Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and
Confluence. Perform maintenance and sustainment engineering for
existing baselines which may require programming in C/C++. Overall,
there is a wide range of software subsystems you may work on based
on a combination of experience and interests, such as, back-end
mathematical, signal processing, scientific algorithms, computer
security, and front-end web-based GUIs. Our small but highly
energized Agile Scrum team has a significant software effort on a

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years experience. An additional 4 years of
experience in lieu of degree may be considered
Experience with Agile software development using C++ and/or any
other object oriented language such as, Java or Python, in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux environment
Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and
approaches
Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
STEM degree preferred, such as Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, etc
Experience with supporting operational systems and distributed
systems
Experience with working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud
Instances)
Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Previous exposure to working with ground systems (scheduling,
tasking, antennas, working with hardware interfaces)

Salary Range: $93,500.00 - $140,300.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
